Hands down one of the most intense and rewarding hunts I've ever been on. Ira with Proven Pursuit knows the country like the back of his hand- definitely not just a "weekend warrior". Winter Trophy Mountain Lion
Ira Hook and the Proven Pursuit hounds provided a lifetime experience. In my 20+ years of hunting I had never seen a mountain lion in the wild. During our 7- days of hunting, Ira and I covered a lot of country. Coming across tracks everyday, the hounds were able to tree 5- lions and one bobcat. Getting to watch the dogs work and catch up to these cats on snow or dry ground really shoed Ira's dedication to training these working animals. The weather and condition weren't always perfect, but we stayed motivated knowing if we did our jobs finding tracks, the dogs would give us all they had. Giving us a good shot at catching up with these elusive lions. This hunt will be one for the books. Ira and his hounds provided me an opportunity to harvest a very mature old warrior cat.
